Open Kōrero (2 hours)
An open discussion style forum, led by Dion which talks about ‘whare-tapa-wha’ and the honohono extension. A discussion about what’s happening specifically in themselves and their work whānau - and some practical grounding and other exercises tailored to meet those needs.
Wānanga (1 or 2 day)
These workshops are tailored to meet the needs of your company or teams. To give you an example, a recently designed 1-day corporate wānanga included:
An introduction to and discussion on the principles of Māori healing and medicine.
An outline to the base model of Whare-tapa-wha, and the critical extension to this that has become evident through honohono.
Practical exercises in grounding and stress relief
Identifying personal areas of strength or weakness and techniques on how to change the polarity of weaknesses
Causes of workplace stress, anxiety, depression and practical skills for changing and overcoming this. (Also includes factors that are contributing outside of the workplace coming in, as well as inside the workplace going out).
Practical exercises in energy and how to it to improve mental health, capacity, perception, interpersonal relationships in the workplace and more.
An introduction to the honohono body map, which enables the participants to accurately identify areas in their personal or work lives and, through the other basic tools provided, begin to release those.
Wairua & kōhatu (spirit and stone) wānanga (2 day)
WAIRUA (SPIRIT) - This two day workshop explores the concepts of traditional Māori health and wellbeing, moves into basic practical exercises before hands-on exploring more advanced healing techniques and shortcuts to treating common problems such as stress, anxiety, sciatica and more.
KŌHATU (STONE) - Select the piece of Pounamu or Aotea you most resonate with and learn how to finish, bind and provide healing intent within your stone. The workshop finishes with a traditional Māori blessing in the wai (waters) of Lake Wakatipu.
Note: This workshop can be tailored for groups visiting Queenstown with more basic or more advanced healing understanding.
